Books on Self-Improvement: Harmful or Beneficial?

Can it be the books on unhealthy self-improvement or personal development for some people?

Some think so. Imagine someone who has learned to live their life in a satisfying way and suddenly decides to go further. You start dreaming of big goals and you start to motivate yourself to achieve them. As a result of this, he decides to take certain risks and begins to change his lifestyle. You could face losses and disappointments that undermine your self-esteem and take a psychological toll.

self improvement books

There are people who think that the books on personal growth they can do wonders for a few. However, they can cause loss, stress and frustration for many others.

Books on self-improvement are beneficial

Others think that the people who pursue their goals without the belief that they will achieve them are the ones who end up making bad and damaging decisions. It is a lack of conviction.

There are people who are tremendously determined to succeed and go for it. They don't want to spend 60 years telling stories about "I could have been rich if I had ..."

If you do something just because someone says to do it or because it is recommended to you, rather than realizing it yourself, then it can be "dangerous."

You think that it is better to regret something you have done than something you did not do. Also, common sense continues to play a great role in digesting such books. The only problem here is that "Common sense is not as common as it used to be."

So idiots could ruin their lives.

Every time I do something and I'm scared, I say to myself, 'What's the worst that could happen? Can I die for doing it? Not? So I'm going to do it if the potential profit I can make is big enough. You have to be confident and know that every problem has a solution.

One must try do new things with a little wisdom.

Each individual is unique, with different talents, goals, personality traits, and experiences. It is not good to be a blind "copy" of someone else. However, if you adjust your goals to fit your own uniqueness, pace, lifestyle, and means, you could be very successful. It is a fact that people are unique and what worked for one may or may not work for others. Each individual must decide whether it hurts or benefits him.

You can't throw away all the advice you get from self-help books. Self-improvement books are not the end. They are just the beginning to change your life. What Jim Rohn I would say, the books are the information. They are a starting point.

I leave you a video with Wayne Dyer phrases, one of the best motivational authors:
