In this article we will see 11 ways to get motivated to exercise.

exercise

1) Think about how you feel after exercising.

After exercising you feel fantastic, do you know why? It has a physical and a psychological explanation:

* Your brain secretes endorphins when you exercise. Endorphins are known as the hormones of happiness.

* You feel satisfied with yourself because you know that you are doing the right thing with your life.

2) Sign up for fitness classes, swimming ...

Signing up for “something” classes implies that you are going to spend money on it, so there will be no excuse for not attending. In addition, the fact of exercising with other people, gives you an extra motivation.

3) Take the opportunity you have to take care of yourself.

Many people cannot take care of themselves due to lack of time, because they dedicate themselves to taking care of other people or aspects of life: their children or their jobs. If you're so lucky to get time to exercise, don't waste it.

Exercise should be fun. If not, try to find another type of exercise that you like. You can listen to music, talk to other people, ...

6) Visualize yourself leaner or with more muscle.

Visualization is one of the most powerful techniques to motivate yourself. "Seeing" how we want to be has immediate effects on our brain.

7) Read fitness magazines, blogs and websites.

Everything that is being in contact with the world of exercise will help you feel more involved with taking care of your body.

8) Give yourself a prize.

If you acquire the discipline and habit of exercising well, you deserve a prize. Treat yourself: buy clothes, a book, ...

9) Think about how attractive you are going to be.

Exercising improves your physical appearance, makes you more stylized, more agile, clothes fit you better. In short, it makes you look much more attractive.

10) It helps you de-stress.

Have you had a hard day? You will see how while you exercise you release that negative energy that grips you and after a good shower you feel much more relaxed and happy.

11) Helps you think.

In the silence of the exercise you can think calmly and more creatively. You can come up with new ideas or you can make more creative decisions. More information

I weigh 70 kg and I am 29 years old, I am a girl and the truth is that I do not find the necessary motivation to exercise, I find it very boring. I like to play sports but when I have to exercise at home I hate it, I really hate exercise a lot, it doesn't interest me too much. I would like to know how I can motivate myself to exercise.

Hello Cristina! It can help you a lot to ask yourself the following: 1. WHAT am I going to do this for? Find your true purpose of doing sports and taking care of your health, in the way you want the most, have fun and connect. 2. What am I getting from my current situation of not playing sports? 3. What great benefits are you going to get when you do it? Hope this can help you. A hug!!

HELP!!! I really need to lose weight and I want to exercise, but how can I get energy? I am 46 years old and I work 7 days a week cleaning 2 or 3 houses a day. They will think that how can I be overweight with all the calories that I could burn while working but the truth is that I get depression and I eat sweet things. I really want to go out in the afternoons to the gym but I arrive exhausted ... Does anyone know of something to give energy that is not red bull?

    1.    Patricia RoseMar said

Hello Ana! I understand your situation. It gives me the feeling that "you are putting too much energy" in factors external to you, from a negative focus for what you generate that depression. The "depression" is a state of mind that makes you feel without vital energy. Tips: 1. Focus on factors that generate positivity, they will make you feel more energy. Look for the positive part, there is always it 2. Start to change the negative meaning of what you are evaluating right now as negative 3. Just give the first step, and even if they are 30 ′, move! This will begin to affect your state of mind and little by little you will be able to reverse your lack of spirit and therefore your energy. U hug !!

The best way to motivate yourself when you are invaded by laziness and anxiety is to pay someone to find you and make you exercise. Pay him to remind you why and to "get you out" of your bed or couch to exercise. Also if you are very lazy you could be sick. Take medical tests to see your values. And the other thing, you could be upset with yourself for something, and the fact of mistreating yourself by eating junk and getting fat, seems like a deserved punishment. Think that you love yourself and that you deserve the best. It could also motivate you to think about how "that person" (the one you love or hate) would feel if they saw you more slender. If you are lazy to do physical exercises, start doing mental exercises very often, at the least expected moment you will be preparing for exercise. And if none of the above works, but you believe in God, then ask him for encouragement and strength, if it does not work, it is because you do not know how to ask.
