A newborn baby does not want to be separated from his mother

There are currently a large number of studies showing that mothers and babies should be in physical contact immediately after delivery, as well as later. The baby is happier and his temperature is more stable.

Physical contact between the mother and her baby at birth reduces crying and helps the mother to breastfeed successfully. Here I leave you with a video that shows the cry of a baby when separating from the mother:

In many cultures, babies are generally laid naked on the mother's breast right after birth. In recent times, especially in more developed countries, babies are wrapped in a blanket and separated from the mother.

From the point of view of breastfeeding, babies who are in physical contact with the mother immediately after delivery, for at least one hour, they are more likely to cling to the mother's breast without any help.

This custom of placing the newborn baby on the mother's breast is known as the kangaroo method. It is a technique practiced in the newborn, usually with premature babies. It is called the kangaroo method because of the similarity with which these animals carry their young.

Kangaroo care for premature babies may be restricted to a few hours a day, but if they are medically stable, this time can be extended. Some mothers can hold their babies for many hours a day.
