A very nice video to watch, especially for people who have a pet in their home.
It is a video made by the Affinity Foundation and a series of statistical data are provided that show the excellent link between people and pets:
Did you like it? Don't worry, don't go upstairs and go directly to buy a dog or a cat now that Christmas is approaching. You might think that this is a great gift for your child (and it certainly is). However, he also thinks that having a pet requires a lot of responsibility, discipline, patience and is an economic expense (vaccinations, food, visits to the vet if he gets sick, ..), I would say that it is the same as having a child. I tell you that I have two children and a dog.
I leave you what in my opinion, is the greatest responsibility of having a dog: taking him for a walk every day ... and the typical 20 minute walk to relieve yourself is not worth it. They need to exercise, get tired. Two hours a day is recommended.
I also leave you what for me are its two biggest "drawbacks":
1) During the shedding of hair, the house will fill with hairs.
2) They fart, yes, like you.
Why am I telling you this? Because I don't want you to buy a puppy for Christmas and then when you see what owning a dog really means, you abandon him in a kennel, at best.
If you've thought about it and still decided to have a dog, do not buy, adopt:
