Before going on to explain what this challenge consists of, let me motivate you towards reading with a video that excites me every time I watch it.
The video is about a girl who studies at the University of Navarra (the university where I studied) and she tells us about the magic hidden in books. A very suitable video that serves as an appetizer for the challenge that I am going to propose:
[mashshare]Yesterday on Twitter I came across this tweet:
Join the # challenge20paginasdia and you will be able to read more than 25 books a year, some numbers that will change your #lifetime http://t.co/v0WCSQ4z5c #books
- Jorge Jiménez (@jorge_hereje) May 28, 2015
I was quickly surprised by such figures: ONLY 20 pages a day and we will be able to read an average of 25 books a year!
Obviously, it all depends on the number of pages a book has, but imagine a very fat 600-page book. In a month we would have read it to each other. We would be able to read 12 very fat books a year.
They seem to me to be enviable figures and they don't really require much effort. Today I'm going to time how much it costs me to read 20 pages. I think that time can be taken in some part of the day or distributed in various moments of the day (10 pages in the morning and 10 pages in the afternoon / evening).
When you are waiting for the bus or when you are waiting to be seen at the doctor or somewhere else. You can always find time to complete this challenge of reading 20 pages a day.
On Twitter we are going to use the hastag # challenge20páginas to keep track of our progress and to see the readings of others. I encourage you to sign up.
Later, I will upload a photo of my first book chosen for the challenge.
See you at the hastag # reto20páginasdia 🙂
Postscript: shortly I will propose another challenge. If you want to find out, subscribe to the blog or follow me on twitter.
The challenge seems excellent to me, it would be interesting to give reading guidelines so that one does not read just to read, don't you think…. Well, you could point us to alternative routes, for various interests that lead you somewhere ... It could be. I congratulate your work is very good.
Hello, thank you for your comment 🙂
Mmmm, I see that giving some reading guidelines is somewhat risky and even incongruous. I don't know what you or anyone else like to read, I only know my literary tastes (autobiographies, science fiction, essays and narrative, although the latter has to be good to catch me).
Everyone has to search and find what they like to read, otherwise this challenge would become impossible for him or her, since if I set guidelines that go against their tastes, they may end up hating reading.
You have to find a book that grabs you. Go to a bookstore and look at what's new, surely there is one that catches your attention.
For my part, I will review the book that ends. If you see it attractive you can start reading it 😉
Kind regards.
Thank you ,,, I think I am waiting for the book… And you are right, everyone has multiple interests…. And the thing is that I commented on it because today so many books are out that it leaves people worse, I think that not every book is good, just as there are good people there are bad ones….
Well, it seems to me an excellent initiative to inadvertently make a very good and important habit. Go ahead with it!
sre @ s, the problem is that I would like to learn to read quickly but assimilating the text, do not you have information about it out there?
I'm not sorry. I have not written anything about it.
