How to change your life in 21 days

I also want to change certain aspects of my life and I know that to be successful I must follow an elaborate plan that allows me to achieve small goals every day.

21 days is the time established by the researchers to allow time for a habit to take hold in your brain. Before teaching you this 21-day plan, let's see a motivational video to whet your appetite.

This video is not bad at all to view as soon as we get up. Now only the music is really very inspiring:

21 days to change your life

change of life

In this plan I am going to start with what I think is most important for a person to be physically well and later continue with days dedicated to feeding the mind.

Day 1: From this day on, find an hour in your day to day to do some kind of physical activity.

I need to change my life

In this detailed 21-day plan, you will have to reserve certain spaces in your daily schedule. Do you have time? The day has 24 hours for everyone. If you take advantage of them well, you can get to everything, you just have to know how to manage your priorities.

Do you really want to change your life? Well, maybe you should take time away from watching television to give it to exercise. Remember: manage your priorities.

Trick: so that you are more motivated to exercise you can make a list of your 20 favorite songs, or listen to a podcast, a audiobook or just the radio. I extract in mp3 the audio of the conferences that I see on Youtube and listen to them while I take a walk.

Day 2: From this day on, sleep the hours you need so that your body and mind are rested.

For some, six hours of sleep will be enough, but others may need nine hours. Each body is a world so we cannot generally establish a minimum of necessary hours of night rest.

Trick: so that you do not get lazy to go to bed you can listen to a radio program that you like while you fall asleep (or simply listen to your favorite music ... that is relaxing).

Day 3: From this day on, go to bed and get up always at the same time.

Forgive me for insisting on this issue of sleep but it is essential for a person to feel good and energetic during the day. Having regular hours of rest at night makes it easier to sleep.

Day 4: From this day on, eat healthy.

Eliminate absolutely all the pastries and junk food from your life. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and fish. Nuts also provide many nutrients.

As far as possible, consume organic products and seasonal.

Also avoid drinking alcohol. Too many people rely on alcohol as a means of relaxation or escapism, and while drinking a glass of red wine has beneficial health effects, it is best to avoid these types of drinks.

Try not to drink any alcohol even if only for 3 weeks, and see if you feel better.

Day 5: From this day on, eat four pieces of fruit a day.

You can distribute them as follows: one for lunch, another for after lunch, another for a snack and another for after dinner.

Choose fruits that are in season because they will be more natural (I don't even want to imagine where a peach will have come from in winter).

Day 6: From this day on, read at least 30 minutes a day.

We begin with the section of days dedicated to cultivating your mind. Remember that you have to establish priorities in your life so that you have time to get to everything.

You can separate this 30-minute reading into two periods of 15 minutes each.

It is important that you choose a book that you like. I can recommend any of these: The Best Self-Help and Personal Development Books

Books are often a great source of inspiration and new ideas. Many times they can have a huge impact on you.

I particularly love autobiographies of presidents. They are people who have reached the highest peaks of power and their lives are a great source of inspiration and a guide on the path to success.

Day 7: From this day on, do some activity that you really like.

You have to set aside time to do what you like. It allows you to disconnect your mind from possible daily problems and is an incentive in your daily life. If that activity is aimed at providing some kind of value to other people, it is much better; but if you really enjoy watching your favorite TV show, go ahead 🙂

Day 8: Starting today, make a list of income and expenses.

Put on a list of how much do you spend on items such as mortgage, electricity, telephone ... Check if you are spending more than what you put in. If your balance is negative you will have to readjust your expenses.

Day 9: From this day on, you will smile regularly.

Smiling releases endorphins, happiness hormones that improve mood.

A good way to provoke the appearance of a smile is look for humor in everything around you (people and situations). You can also watch humorous movies or YouTube videos that make you laugh.

Day 10: From this day on, you will spend 5 minutes thinking about how your day has gone.

This logically you can do it when you are already in bed. It is like an examination of conscience. You can review those things in which you can improve and regroup with those things that have turned out well or that you have enjoyed.

Day 11: From this day on, you are going to dedicate to the person you love a compliment, a phrase of affection, a token of love, a few short lines that show how positive you feel towards that person.

Love and good social relationships must be permanently cared for.

Day 12: From this day on you will perform an altruistic act on an unknown person.

Helping others is a guaranteed source of happiness. If you can't find a situation in which you can help someone, praise the baker, the postman,… whoever it is. Praise their work.

Day 13: From this day on you will stop criticizing other people unless they are in front of you.

But not only that. Also you are going to withdraw from conversations in which someone else is being criticized. It is something very therapeutic.

Our habits and our state of mind will infect others. We are beings who tend to model (imitate) the behavior of others. If others realize that you never criticize, they may take an example from you.

If we are in a group of people who are dedicated to building rather than destroying, we inevitably feel happier and more proud of ourselves. So pay more attention to how you talk about others when they are not around.

Day 14: From today you will be more aware of the way you breathe.

In this way you will learn to relax when you start to stress since in situations of anxiety and stress breathing accelerates. In those moments you will realize that you are beginning to breathe incorrectly and you will replace that type of breathing with this way of breathing much more powerful:

Day 15: From today you will write on a post it something that you would like to do the next day.

It's like a whim, a little gift for you, something to keep you looking forward to tomorrow (never better said). Make it simple, not a complex wish to carry out.

Day 16: From today you will be part of a group or community with which you identify.

We already commented on this article which the feeling of belonging to a group improves self-esteem. You can be a member of a soccer club, sign up as a volunteer to some kind of parish, school or NGO activity, sports activity ...

Day 17: From today you will give thanks before getting up for all the good things you have (or are happening to you).

Before getting up focus on the positive, not in the problems that you have to face during the day. Taking five minutes each morning to foster the value of gratitude in you can mark a before and after in your life.

Day 18: From today you will start writing a journal.

It is enough if you write more than three or four lines per day. It is about synthesizing your day in a few lines so that you become aware of whether you are going on the right path. It is also a very therapeutic task.

You are free to write more lines if you wish. 😉

Day 19: From today you will stop using the elevator.

Climbing stairs is a great way to do a little extra exercise that secretes some endorphins in our brain.

Day 20: From today you will take care of your physical appearance and personal hygiene.

Surely it is something that you already had in mind but it never hurts to feel a little more beautiful with each passing day. If you have to buy some clothes or go to the hairdresser, do it!

Day 21: From this day on you will start taking care of an animal.

Buy yourself a pet. If it is a dog or a cat, it is better that you adopt it. There are thousands of these animals abandoned in shelters waiting for someone to take them home and give them love.

If you don't want to commit to such a large company, you can buy an aquarium, some turtles ...

Taking care of one of these animals can make you feel better.

And up to here these 21 days to start changing your life. You may not be consistent with everything that I have proposed in this article but I assure you that if you do some of the things that I have written, your life will change remarkably for the better.

If you liked this article, consider sharing it with those close to you. Thank you very much for your support.[mashshare]
