Day 10: Talk to Your Future Self

Welcome to this Challenge for the first 21 days of January.

Today is January 10 and this is the 10th task that you must add to the previous ones: talk to your future self.

Get ready, you're going to get the best tips on how to live a full life from the hand of who knows you best: yourself. You will receive advice from yourself from the future.

Step 1: Visualize yourself 20 or 30 years from now.

Find a quiet and safe place, where you will not be disturbed:

Imagine yourself 70 years old. It has been a lifetime and you have gained experience, you have learned from the mistakes you have made and you have learned to focus on the things that are really worthwhile. You have achieved all that wisdom after living 70 years.

Visualize yourself with great detail: your hairstyle, if you have any hair left 🙂, your clothes, your facial features, your expression, your look,… How do you see yourself? What does that person transmit to you?

Step 2: Talk to your future self.

Your being from the future has the necessary wisdom to advise you on what is good or bad for you, what you should avoid and what you need to promote.

Start talking to her or him for advice using the following questions as a guide:

1) Have you managed to live a satisfying life? Have you fulfilled your dreams? What have you done to achieve such dreams? Why haven't you reached certain goals that you set for yourself?

2) What are the keys to achieving the life you want? What should you focus your efforts on?

3) Do I have to change any behavior? What attitude do I have to adopt to feel satisfied?

4) Do you want me to take special care with something in particular?


With this type of exercise you realize what is really worth in life and you realize that you must change some habits that can hurt you. You take on a new perspective on life.
