Day 6: Get up early every morning

Welcome to January 6 of this Challenge to implement good habits that improve our quality of life.

The task that you must implement during these 21 days of January is very simple: get up early every morning. We are going to try to fulfill the old saying that says: "Who gets up early, God helps him." In my case it will not be difficult for me. I've always been a more daytime person than a nighttime person.

Why this growing interest in getting up early?

Many testimonials in favor of getting up earlier, overwhelming testimonies from all parts of the earth, although it is true that this culture of getting up early is more widespread in the United States. A lots of self help blogs from that country proclaim to the 4 winds the benefits of getting up early.

According to them, getting up early is the best habit one can develop (together with meditation). Many entrepreneurs mention that getting up early helps them to be much more effective.

Apparently there is some relationship between getting up early and success. Personally, I am passionate about achieve excellence in my life and, therefore, I only see benefits to the fact of getting up early.

You might say, “No, getting up early doesn't work for me. I'm not a morning person, I work better at night. However, until you try it for an extended period (for example, until January 21 of this month) you will not be able to draw any conclusions.

This task it will depend on your work hours because if you go to work at 6:00 AM, early morning is enough. However, if you go to work at 9:00 AM you could get up at 7:00 AM.

If you manage to get up early every day, until January 21, you will have created a habit that it will be easier for you to carry it out.

Getting up early is very difficult for many people because it is a radical life change. The important thing is that you try. You will have to abandon old habits: going to bed early means getting up earlier. Little by little, getting up early will become easier until it becomes a natural act.

What are the benefits of getting up early?

Getting up early is a good start.

If you wake up at 7am, you are starting the day earlier than 70% of people. This is largely a psychological factor that makes you feel good. A good start is half the battle won. Your motivation will be increased to carry out the rest of the tasks during the day.

For example, my natural modus operandi when I wake up early is to get to work quickly, the dominant voice in my head says, "There is a lot of time after doing this, so let's get to this arduous task first." This is especially evident when it comes to tackling the toughest task, the golden tasks (high impact tasks).

Ultimately you are doing things more dedication, which means doing things better. If you do nighttime tasks, they will end up consuming your sleep time (we already saw in the task number 4 the importance of sleeping the necessary time) This afternoon makes me stay up late, which is eaten in my sleep time and affects the next calendar day. Then the cycle will continue the next day. This will create a negative habit pattern in the long run in which I would always rush through tasks at night, extending beyond my bedtime, and waking up feeling tired even though he had slept more than a fair share of the hours.

So far the task for this January 6 that you have to carry out until the 21st of this month that ends this Challenge. I remind you of the previous tasks:

Day One: Drink eight glasses of water

Day Two: eat 5 pieces of fruit a day

Day Three: Make a meal plan

Day 4: Sleep 8 hours a day

Day 5: Do not criticize or judge others

Piece of challenge, turn something tedious into a healthy and chosen habit. Are there people who like to get up early? Yesiiiiiiiiiii, well above all what they like are the advantages of getting up early, I think that is the key to focus. I leave the link, in case it may be of interest, to an article that I have written about the advantages of getting up half an hour earlier:
