Diary of a pregnancy, a fun book to read for pregnant women

diary of my pregnancy

I bought this journal as soon as I found out I was pregnant.

There is daily information about my baby's development, nutritional information, fun facts about childbirth and parenting in different cultures, little quotes along the bottom of every page.

The only thing I don't like about the author is that she has a very strict point of view when it comes to what a pregnant woman can and cannot do. I understand that these are things to keep in mind but sometimes it just invokes fear and guilt from future moms.

I've been asked to list those things that I want to highlight from this book, so here I go. I would like to highlight these 9 things.

1) The author shows the day of the baby's gestation. I had to fight the urge to read the days after.

2) There are places for you to write your own spontaneous observations, thoughts, etc.

3) It made me feel even closer to the little being that grows in my belly.

4) Sure you can get this information from various websites but this journal gives you the possibility of writing how you are feeling and that will make a great memory one day.

5) It's so much fun waking up and finding out what's going on with your baby that day.

6) I have to say that sometimes the author irritated me. According to her, apparently the only thing pregnant women should eat are lentils and spinach.

7) It's a fun book to read but sometimes it seems that the author is giving you a lecture.

8) Each day has a text column that gives you information in various areas: baby development, mother's health, nutrition, childbirth in other cultures, and occasionally some tips for exercising or relieving symptoms like back pain.

9) The information is short and concise, but it gives you details about the approximate date when the baby's eyes form, etc.

CONCLUSION

I have found this guide extremely helpful. It works as a great resource and visiting companion for my doctor. It also allows me to write down those important moments of my pregnancy that I want to remember.

It is a wonderful book!
