Opinion of the book «Dracula», by Ana Marroquin

dracula book

A child may not know who Bram Stoker is. But you will always know what a vampire is. When you mention it, the first name that will come to mind will be "Dracula", although I do not know that it is the title of the most famous novel by the Irishman Bram Stoker.

Why read Dracula in the XNUMXst centuryWhen is it a book that has experienced all possible intertextualities and the cinema has been in charge of transforming it into a series of creations, some more fortunate than others?

It is a literary experience of the strangest, because it gives continuous and contradictory signals about what kind of work it is.

The legend about a historical figure (Vlad Tepes the Impaler) transformed by the imagination of Bram Stoker, appeals to readers of all ages.

However, there is a myth about Dracula that has been very virilized and spread, and I must admit that I believed it myself. I will put a review below, which was published on the back cover of one of the many editions, that makes this myth see as true:

"This classic Stoker novel combines adventure, terror, mystery and at times overflows eroticism and sensuality."

Reviews and comments like this believe in people the false idea that Dracula is an erotic novel. But at no time is anything similar mentioned.

Dracula is a classic in the history of literature for many reasons, but for me, excuse me for being so childish, it could be summed up in four words: IT'S A GREAT BOOK.

I think it has everything a true reader could want in a reading experience since it could not even be pigeonholed into a single genre. This book has horror, drama, mystery, adventure and many other things that are difficult to find today.

"Dracula", by Bram Stoker, is not just any book, in a work of art.

I would sincerely recommend this book to all readers, regardless of age, as I read this book when I was still a child.

It is one of the most memorable reading experiences I can remember, so trust me and I hope you guys like it too.

Book score 10/10.

It's purchasable here. Softcover: 200 pages.

I also want to tell you that I am happy to participate in this page project “Recursos de Autoayuda". It is really entertaining and interesting to do my own review of the books I have read and I would recommend doing it too.
