Emilio Duró: and his conference on optimism and illusion

Emilio Dura is called and spreads like wildfire in Youtube. Today I discovered a great character to add to my list of essential people in my life, my list of people to follow: his name is Emilio Dura and is a example of optimism and illusion. He is an excellent lecturer and would make an excellent writer of self-help books.

I will follow it closely in this blog, Recursos de Autoayuda.

Emilio Dura

A few months ago I heard one conference yours on the internet. The problem is that in the conference the person who gave it was not named or introduced, but I already perceived a lot of strength in the speaker.

Emilio Dura has an overflowing vitality but there is a paradox that gives food for thought. His mother died of depression, that is, he has a gene that predisposes him to being depressed. This is why all his life he has dedicated himself to preserving himself from this evil and the result is a man who seems to have fallen into a pot of cocaine when he was little. The wonderful thing is that his energy is absolutely natural.

He has already been on the Buenafuente program twice and his internet fame spreads like wildfire. We hope it will show signs of life on the web very soon.

One of his most repeated phrases is: "The worst thing there is is a motivated fool".

I leave you with the video of the conference that launched him to fame. It is a long conference but I assure you that it is worth it because it will recharge your batteries to the fullest.

Update: March 24, 2.011, Emilio Duró and his 2nd interview with Buenafuente.

Update: April 10, 2.011, Emilio Duro, conference organized by ADEA.

Update June 23, 2011 Emilio Duró in the anthill

Update November 26, 2011 Emilio Duró with Jesús Quintero

I find Emilio's speeches fantastic, they transmit a lot of positive energy. Recommend to several friends that they see the video of optimism and hope and the truth is that they were filled with positivity.

No matter how much optimism and enthusiasm you have, money is above man and you will always be trampled on by the same competitive system. We live in a wild world that does not leave us much room to live and on top of that I must believe that I am to blame for not be happy? This man is insulting to me. I propose something else: Get outraged, get angry and fight against those who cause your slavery: Against the exploitative system in which we live. Optimism and illusion can only come after that. No one is optimistic and deluded rowing chained in a galley and receiving constant lashes. It seems that this man does not see reality and believes that people get depressed for fun... I encourage this man to work in the mine earning shit and having a family to maintain with the constant fear of losing your job and losing what little you have... come later to give us classes on optimism and illusion to see if you still want. On the contrary, you will come to teach classes on how to be unsubmissive to an oppressive system to finally be free and thus have REAL non-fictitious optimism and illusion.

Hi Dani, thank you very much for your comment.

Money is not above the human being. The people who care the most about money are usually the most unhappy. There are other things much more important for the human being, such as creating a good circle of friends, having a good relationship with the family, leading a healthy lifestyle ...

It is true that life can be "wild" as you call it, but if we firmly commit ourselves to cultivating good life habits like the ones I mentioned above, we can better tame this wild horse called life.

It is true that each person is different and there are those who choose wrong paths, which in the long run causes unhappiness. The blame for this unhappiness should not be found in society or in how cruel life is. Many factors come into play when looking for those responsible for this unhappiness: they say that genetics determines 50% of our chances of being more or less happy, the environment in which we are born also influences but only 10%. The other 40% depends on us.

The circumstances that occur in life can be good or bad but the key is in how our brain interprets those circumstances. You can choose to give up and blame the system (the easier position) or you can fight to improve it.

Indeed, as you say, people do not get depressed for fun. There is always a compelling reason. I encourage those people to get out of that situation by putting all their effort into it. The first step is simple: go to your family doctor or family doctor.

      Regards, Daniel

I insist, money is above the human being. Without money you have neither a roof nor food, nor the freedom to do almost anything in this world. I'm not talking about how beautiful the world would be, but about how the world is unfortunately.

Maybe you have not had economic problems in your life and you live a comfortable life where your only annoyance is that everyone seems like a whiner. Most live trampled and make no mistake, no one catches a poor person lying on the ground, but if it is a 10 euro bill it does not last there for 1 minute. This last experiment is what is known in science as a demonstration. And it shows what in this world has value. And if you don't believe it, try it, I assure you that it will not fail.

From there you can start to think that in fact the system is the culprit of most people's problems and not try to divert attention and blame other irrelevant factors such as genetics or the will to be happy .. It seems a joke, who wouldn't want to be happy?

Please, I ask you to look around and see reason, you will see that money has crushed the human being in all aspects and that must change. Don't expect us to happily live in chains.

See if the money is important that this man lectures for companies. For what? What is the ultimate end of those who PAY to hear your jokes? EARN MORE MONEY.

Money is not important in itself, but it is the means of obtaining everything in this system. If a person is happy having a partner, I already tell you that few women are going to look him in the face if he is unemployed. Any vital project happens yes or yes to have money, the more the better.

Money is obviously important, it is indisputable. If you want to choose a home, to eat, to dress, to travel, it is necessary to work (because nobody gives anything away), and talking about work in these times is synonymous with frustration, despair….
Well, having said that, I will say that money, the material is overvalued in these times, since society in general (unemployed and non-unemployed) is in constant dissatisfaction because we have fallen into the trap of the »consumer society ...
What Emilio Duró means is that if you do not maintain a positive ATTITUDE towards life you will be the meat of a psychiatrist for life, and yes, you will live what you have to live... but badly. Of course, everyone suffers, both optimists and pessimists, the difference is that the first ones come out of the adversities that life throws at them, and the others will lock themselves in their pain until… ufff… all their lives!! because the dissatisfied will always find reasons to be.
By the way, I have a very normal job, ten hours and at night. I live in a very old house that cries out for a reform that I cannot afford, I do wonders to pay the bills

    .AND I AM VERY HAPPY!!!

And I will also say how important day to day is, things like putting the dog down, buying bread, chatting with a neighbor... why don't we do it with a smile and/or a positive attitude? Ahhh…, these are not times to smile. What touches is bad mood, apathy and crying. If crying solved something, believe me that I would fill buckets of tears. And I'm not saying that smiling will solve your ballot, I don't know, but at least the process will make the process less hard and it will avoid useless fights with the family, at work... What has been Emotional Intelligence... And of course it's difficult, even for me it is and I feel lucky for everything and nothing. The easy thing is to cry, I say this from experience.
And I say goodbye with a Chinese proverb that I love.
"We cannot prevent the birds of sadness from flying over our heads, but they can prevent them from nesting in our hair." I said, to be happy that this is over

Thanks Carolina! Of course you have to be optimistic! but not a resigned optimist as it seems you propose, but a fighter optimist. Because if you don't like what there is, do something to change it!
If for example they evict you, it is not enough to keep smiling, smile and occupy the house again! With civil disobedience many freedoms and rights have been achieved, by staying smiling you will not achieve anything. Well yeah, you make it seem like other homeless people are complaining for the sake of pleasure and you downplay them!
    What is even worse.

money is necessary and essential. Perhaps in a town in Africa it doesn't seem like it, but look at it, they save and take all the money that the mafias ask for just to come in a boat, being able to die in the desert or at sea, and be part of the Western world... of course. money is necessary. Of course we have to have an insubmissive attitude because the last quarter of the last century was the takeoff with no return or return we don't know where from consumerism: have a house enjoy spending on traveling, buying clothes, goods... the system has been created to work and spend. Work is not a good in itself, the good is in the consumption that it is capable of generating. The West, more specifically all those big politicians, mega-entrepreneurs, corporate gangsters and globalized actions whose game board is the planet, have created two monsters: consumption and extreme poverty. How is the human mind not going to become unbalanced when faced with the loss of essential values for a good and honest life?
