"Father and Daughter"

A few days ago I published an animated short that you liked very much: «La Casa de la Luz». In one of the comments I received, I was invited to watch another short film (thanks Dino) entitled "Father and Daughter" (Father and daughter).

I have to say that I liked "La Casa de la Luz" more but this one is not bad at all and it is also very emotional. Doing a little research I have discovered that This short won an Oscar for Best Animated Short in 2000 and it is the work of the Dutch director Michaël Dudok de Wit.

The short is about the story of a father who says goodbye to his daughter and leaves in a boat never to return. The short is a metaphor for death. The father dies and the girl continually returns to the place where she said goodbye to him to see if he returns. This comes to mean the memory of the daughter for her dead father.

The end of the short I do not reveal it to you and see if you guess what it could mean. You can leave a comment explaining it 😉

Without further ado, I leave you with this wonderful short:

After the passing of the years and the running of this girl's life, it is time to take the same path and finally meet with the father.
