Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907 and died a few days after her birthday, on July 13, 1954 in her city of birth, in Coyocán, Mexico, at the age of 47… she died young. Her full name was Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón and she was a painter. Her life was unhappy in terms of health as she contracted polio after having suffered a traffic accident in her youth that kept her in bed for long periods, undergoing up to 32 surgical operations.
