how do others see you?

How do others see you?

Have you asked yourself what do people feel when you are in front? If one of your friends, acquaintances or family were completely honest (be 100% honest) what do you think they would say?

The reason I bring this up is because people tend to see themselves very differently than others see them. It is a natural tendency to assume that others see us in the same way that we perceive ourselves. However, this is not usually the case.

It can be very enlightening to step back and try to analyze ourselves from a "third person" perspective. In this list there are seven important areas of your life worth looking at from the point of view of a friend or acquaintance. Let's walk through them:

1) Emotionally.

how others see you emotionally

The quality of all your relationships, including friends, family, and work colleagues, is directly related to the emotional impression you make on those around you. You may consider yourself nice, but do others feel the same way about you?

2) Values.

Can other people see your life and say that your values and beliefs are evident from your behavior? Are you a good example for others who share those values? When we truly believe something, it must be visible in our life. Our life is like a backup of our claim to be an ethical person.

Taking some time to make a comparison between what you say you are, and what you appear to be, can be an eye-opening (and humbling) experience.

3) Physically.

Staying in shape is a challenge for everyone. Ask yourself the following: What kind of message does my current physical condition transmit? You respect your own health. Is your respect for your body an example for others? You may be interested in this article: Aging with health.

4) Materially.

What is your attitude towards material things and money? Are your views balanced? Is money more or less important than the people in your life? It is not about your financial goals, or what kind of home you want to live in. Ask yourself about your level of materialism.

5) Reasonableness.

When you have a conversation with someone, are you left with the feeling that you are a reasonable person?

6) Intellectually.

It is not about intelligence but rather an appreciation for continuous learning. Do others see you as someone who appreciates learning new things and making personal improvements? Do you show interest in gaining more knowledge in a variety of fields? Learning gives our lives meaning and equips us to help others along the way. Do you like to learn?

7) Practicality.

Make others see you as someone who has been able to see the practical value in the six points mentioned above. We have to learn the practical application of all our skills, abilities and resources. Being practical and down to earth is a quality that makes everything real. Application in practice is the glue that will keep your life cohesive regardless of the ups and downs. Practical wisdom is true wisdom.
