How to set goals for the New Year ... and meet them

new year's goals

If I had to give you some advice for this coming new year, I would say the following: don't think, act.

There is a concept that I am passionate about: it is paralysis by analysis. You spend more time thinking about how to act than acting and that somehow prevents us from getting started.

There is something that I really like. It is practicing focus, that is, dedicating myself to achieving goals because I am focused. I always have one star product per year and I focus all my attention and energy on making that product a reality. We are going to talk about this today, about how to achieve goals for this year 2017 that begins.

Has it ever happened to you that you have set goals for the New Year and then failed to meet them? Do you want to improve your life but don't even know how to start setting yourself these goals? What's more, would you like to know a complete methodology and the keys to meet all these objectives? This is the right article. Today we are going to talk about how to set goals for the New Year. An interesting and essential topic. I looked back and I don't know how I didn't do this a few years ago.

Nine keys to setting objectives:

1) Take stock of what the year has been.

A year ago we were setting goals that surely many of us, today, have not met. To start the year we should rid ourselves of negative feelings, guilt, fear or anything that limits the illusion of having a good goal to achieve this year.

In contrast to this, we should fill the suitcase with everything that has worked, of everything that has been great this year, the good things we did, the good friends, the good companies, the good successes… Summarize in a positive word or phrase what this year has meant to you.

2) You have to set goals that are exciting.

We forgot the "why" of that goalWe end up forgetting why we started it and then the will weakens. Illusion is a very empowering energy that moves us to action and, most importantly, makes us enjoy the journey.

3) The objectives must be aligned with our life mission.

Ask yourself what is your life mission, what is your gift or talent that you can put at the service of others. A Chinese doctor told his patient:

"How am I going to heal him if I don't know what his purpose in life is."

4) No to realistic goals.

If you have to think anyway, better think big. Let's abandon realistic objectives, they bore us ... but be careful, let's set ourselves ecological objectives, objectives that once set will not derail the rest of the objectives.

5) Never give up on a goal.

Put the statistics in your favor, try again and again. We give up because we don't believe in ourselves or because we forget the mission that our objectives have.

6) Determine the what, how and why of an objective.

What do you want to achieve places you in the reality of the objective, how the paradigm expands you (with whom you want to achieve your objective and what means are you going to use to achieve it) and why it shows you the usefulness of the objective.

7) Exercise the will.

You have to break down the big goal into very small, easily achievable, and that they have a lot of empowerment to strengthen your self-confidence.

8) Visualize the state you want to achieve.

Visualize the type of job you would like to have, visualize the body shape you want to obtain ... to be clear in which direction you should work.

9) Surround yourself with positive people.

Stop listening to negative news because that limits you, incapacitates you when it comes to dreaming. Instead, surround yourself with people who inspire youMay it be positive that it encourages and encourages you. It's like borrowing a little bit of energy from such people. Become yourself one of those positive people who modify and transform their surroundings.

Two Recommended Movies:

1) «Looking for happiness«, a great movie to break all limiting beliefs. To achieve objectives it is necessary to have empowering beliefs.

2) «The peaceful warrioror", a story of overcoming someone who has a very bad time, who believes that he cannot achieve his great goal and that, nevertheless, he overcomes his situation.

Lastly, an appointment:

"Everybody thinks about changing humanity, but nobody thinks about changing himself." Tolstoy.

Very good entry. Thank you. The only thing that paralysis by analysis is not exactly like that. if there is paralysis it is not because there is an analysis, it is because there is a wandering between the recurring thoughts on the subject.
