Jaime Bacas

He is the owner of this great blog dedicated to enhancing personal productivity. It also has a very interesting YouTube channel with very practical advice. This article asks you 10 interesting questions that you very kindly answered.

Hello, could you introduce yourself so that the readers know you?

Hello Daniel. Thank you for inviting me and giving me the opportunity to introduce myself to your followers. Professionally, my life includes two very different stages. The first lasted twenty years, developed in the multinational business environment. It went very well for me because I was fortunate to have bosses from whom I had the opportunity to learn and achieve a lot. With some I learned wonderful and positive things, and with others the things that should not be done because they demotivate and disempower. The two learnings are equally valuable, although at the time he did not experience it the same.

The second stage, which began ten years ago, is characterized by learning and practicing coaching. As you already know, it is a high-impact development tool. I am convinced that I am a better person, with myself and with others.
I am an executive coach and in recent years I have specialized in supporting the development of my clients' personal productivity.

What topics do you cover on your blog and what is your favorite section?

The blog and the slogan are quite descriptive, Productivity Trails. It is a blog open to all those who have something to contribute to "help increase your productivity." Supports content in video, audio and text format.

The specific contents have to do with the management of actions, e-mail, delegation, meetings, goal setting, procrastination, etc. The skills to manage oneself more effectively. Others call it self-leadership, because it seems unlikely trying to lead others if you are not capable of leading yourself.

I take this opportunity to invite you and your followers to “contribute” to SP.

Which motivational or self-help author would you choose?

It's hard for me to pick just one. There are relevant contributions from different authors, eg, Stephen Covey, David Allen, Tony Schwartz, Zig Ziglar, Neil Fiore ...

What are your hobbies or hobbies?

Going to the cinema, which means sharing with others the experience of taking a walk, having dinner and commenting on the movie; read personal coaching and productivity; traveling to discover other ways of observing, understanding and living… I find the richness that this brings fascinating.

Could you confess to us a virtue and a fault of yours?

Self-confidence and as an area of stubborn improvement or excessive rigidity in certain matters.

Is there someone you admire?

Two of the bosses I had in my early days were actually inspiring leaders. They helped me understand and practice a very powerful management or leadership style, to achieve extraordinary results by generating extraordinary environments.

I admire many people around me who have some very remarkable specific features, and if you are referring to famous people, I would start the list with Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jesus ...

Tell us what is the most important factor to be successful in life.

Very difficult to choose just one. I will say self-confidence because it is serving me.

What is your highest aspiration in life?

The word is very hackneyed and may even sound corny: love.
On the day of my funeral I would love to "hear" a few "loved me" and "loved him." The little word includes so many meanings ...

What advice for life would you give your loved one?

You can get everything you set your mind to. It does not matter that. You just need to define it precisely, plan it and execute it. The main limiting factor is our ignorance of the enormous, enormous and enormous capacity and potential that we all possess. All we need to do is uncover the jar. There are only three serious drawbacks: 1) believe that this jar exists to start looking for and find it, 2) discover how the lid is opened and 3) not be scared with the responsibility that is coming your way.

Do you want to add something else before finishing the interview?

I have liked your questions. I wish you and your fans much success, whom I encourage to “contribute”. Everyone, absolutely everyone, has something to contribute that can help some. The world becomes a little better place with initiatives like yours.

Thanks Daniel.
