Lecture by Matthieu Ricard: principles of meditation training

I have already spoken on previous occasions about Matthieu Ricard, a Tibetan monk of French origin. He has collaborated with different universities in the study of his own brain to see the effects of meditation on him.

As a result of these investigations, he was awarded the curious title of The happiest man on earth. He considers happiness to be the most important skill that human beings can cultivate. This ability is achievable through meditation and the conscious knowledge that we are all interconnected and we must share that happiness with others, be more altruistic.

Through mindfulness, aware, of everything that surrounds us and our interior we can become more compassionate, achieve a good emotional balance, control and eliminate destructive emotions and enhance the positive ones. With just 20 minutes of daily meditation, extraordinary changes can be achieved in our mind.

I leave you with him conference video
