Pessimism vs Optimism

pessimism vs optimism

In this article I am going to focus mainly on the negative aspects of opting for pessimism over optimism.

Putting yourself in the worst can have some positive aspect. If you put yourself in the worst and then nothing happens, happiness will be immediate. Some think that if you always expect the worst you will never be disappointed.

However, there are those who think otherwise:

* If you keep thinking negatively, your subconscious will work to do what you expect to happen. Without realizing it, you are working against yourself. It is self sabotage.

* If you expect things to go wrong and eventually go wrong, you won't be surprised. You'll just shrug your shoulders and think, "I knew it." You will have the feeling that your concerns are justified. This is some precedent: you will tend to be more negative in the future because the facts have proved you right. Likewise, it is a way of unconsciously programming yourself to be a loser.

* You are likely to give up easily.

* You are not going to fight with all your effort to succeed because a part of you is telling you that you are going to fail.

* The chances of having depression are higher because, in a way, there is a lack of hope.

* You will lose opportunities.

* Your reality will feel gray because your mind is in a negative state.

In line with this theme I leave you a great monologue by the great humorist Luis Piedrahita:
