A short with which you will really want to start running

The short you are going to see lasts only 11 minutes and it is made by Matan Rochlitz and Ivo Gormley. Its titled The Runners (The runners).

The question these two filmmakers asked was the following: Would people be more receptive and sincere when it comes to talking about their personal lives if we interviewed them while they are running?

Some person answered them with a nervous laugh that they were a bit indiscreet when they asked if they had ever been in love. However, little by little people were letting go and confessing very particular things of his private life:

According to the statements of one of the directors:

We were trying to understand what goes on in the minds of the runners that are seen on the streets.

This short is an extraordinary opportunity to ask strange people questions that you wouldn't be able to ask them in another situation. If you plant a camera on someone who is sitting and start asking questions, he or she may feel trapped, they cannot escape anywhere. Doing the interview while the person is running gives the person more freedom.

These questions (are you in love? Who are you most interested in? What do you want to do with your life?) Are difficult to ask and are often not answered truthfully. Runners can break through that mask and respond with a great deal of thought and sincerity.
