Acceptance of our flaws

Past I have feared being judged by others And that they would not like it because I am too thin, for expressing yourself badly, for being shy, for not working, for being too maniac or simply being too antisocial.

At some point you have to let go and accept that not everyone likes you and no matter how much you do to try to fit in.

For a long time I have lived with that fear of judgment. In everything I did I was aware that I cared too much about what people might think of me.

As well pretended to be happy when i was depressed and I did the outgoing When I was shy, I was hiding who I really was which made me more unhappy than I ever was. The disconnect between what I was feeling and doing made me feel stressed and lonely.

When I realized the cause of my stress and loneliness, I began to let people see my true self. My confidence and self esteem grew and my happiness levels skyrocketed. I realized that it was not me who was the problem, it was the attitude of other people.

Some people are friendly, open-minded and non-judgmental and others are not. People accept you or not depending on how their personality matches yours and vice versa. all personalities have flaws and trying to hide them is unnatural.

Here is an example. When you read the official interviews of celebrities or see them talking on television, they are boring. They express themselves perfectly and have an enviable appearance: perfect hair and skin, the best clothes… When they act in this way, the audience's attention decreases considerably. However, when you write about famous womanizers (Tiger Woods), mental health problems (Britney Spears) or the fight against being overweight (Oprah) is when celebrities start to get interesting. When we realize that stars aren't the perfect people they seem to be in movies and on television, that's when we like them the most.

We are all contradictory and we have defects, but that's what makes us interesting. To learn to love yourself you need to accept your contradictions and flaws, not hide them. Come on, give it a try and you will see what I mean.
