The Chinese Farmer's Tale

The saying goes that there is no evil that for good does not come. Bad things are going to happen to you in life: heartbreak, disappointment with your friends, you are going to have to face sadness, learn to tolerate frustrations, ... However, one thing is clear: behind a great evil, there is an opportunity, a change, something positive. The difficult thing is to find it.

The opposite can also happen, behind great news there may be a series of problems that lead us to complicate our lives. There are many cases of people who have won the lottery and this has been the cause of fights between families or of people who have become hooked on drugs as a result of that "stroke of luck."

For all this we must take life with a certain relativity. Neither the bad things that happen to us are so bad, nor are the good things that good.

This is what this tale of the Chinese farmer narrated by the British philosopher Alan Watts is about:

Hello, excellent message. Positive and negative moments come in life, of which we must accept them is the very nature of it. Bring out the best in each situation and accept, understand why each of these situations present themselves. Happy day.

I loved the video and I agree with what the man says at the end, we can never know if what happens in our lives is really good or bad! . 🙂
