The purpose of quitting smoking, a short anecdote

Anecdote about tobacco.

Luis went out on the street this January 1, 2012 ready to buy bread. In his mind he haunted the purpose of quitting that he had established weeks earlier.

However, his brain asked him for a cigarette and his mind made several excuses to abandon this purpose: "What I'm going to do is try to smoke less". As he had left the house without tobacco, the night before he had destroyed his last cigars, he was forced to ask for a cigarette from one of the people he came across.

He could not find anyone who was smoking so he decided to ask a woman who approached him for a cigarette:

Excuse me, do you have a cigarette? I left the tobacco at home. "

She looked into his eyes. His eyes gave off an immense sadness and he replied:

«I was diagnosed with lung cancer 2 days ago. I will never use it » he said handing him a nearly full packet of cigarettes. «I advise you to throw it away now that it is on time» concluded.

Luis was impressed as he saw that woman walking away. It is then that he began to see everything that surrounded him with a different vision, much more grateful for not having that heavy burden that that poor woman carried.

Luis felt great when He tossed the packet of tobacco into the wastebasket.
