Video: The Karma of Life

This video is a Thai commercial. It has English subtitles but it is not necessary to know English because the story it tells is perfectly understood. I explain it briefly without revealing the ending.

A child is caught stealing some medicine. The owner of the products rebukes the child and he says they are for his mother. At that moment a man intervenes and asks the woman to calm down. The man asks the boy if his mother is sick. This one responds to him that yes. The man pays for the medicines and gives him some food (a vegetable soup).

30 years later we see that same man helping the poorest by giving them food. At one point in the video, the man collapsed and had to be hospitalized. Medical expenses cost a lot of money and the man's daughter has to put her house up for sale to be able to afford them.

One morning the daughter wakes up in the hospital and there is a letter with her. Hospital expenses have been paid in full. The letter says that the expenses were paid 30 years ago with 3 packs of painkillers and a vegetable soup. Who paid all those medical expenses?
