A month ago I came across a fun YouTube channel titled «Alliance for Diabetes«. There is a series of chapters under the same motto "21 days to improve cardiovascular health".
It turns out that in chapter 16 they talk about Mindfulness, a subject that we have already tried a lot on this blog. However, This video provides a note of humor and they explain very well what this Mindfulness consists of.

A school substituted meditation for punishment and the results were impressive.
Instead of punishing children or sending them to the principal's office, a Baltimore school has something they have called "Mindful Moment Room".
The room is nothing like a punishment room. Rather, it is full of lights and decorated with purple plush pillows. Children who misbehave are encouraged to sit in the room and do a meditation session through their breathing, which helps them calm down. They are also asked to talk about what has happened.
One study suggests that mindfulness could endow people with a kind of mental armor against disturbing emotions, and memory can also be improved.
This is not something unique to this school. There are other schools in other parts of the world that are incorporating this type of technique in the classroom with incredible results.
