The power of thoughts to change your life

Five years ago I read a wonderful book that has guided my life. The book is called Think and become rich, written by Napoleon Hill in 1937. Napoleon Hill spent his entire life studying the laws of success and worked with some of the richest men in history such as Andrew Carnegie and Henry Ford.

Your laws of success have stood the test of time and they are still very valid today. If you take the time to read, study and apply these principles, I guarantee that they will have a huge impact on your results and also on the quality of your life.

Scientists have estimated that we have more than 25.000 thoughts every day. The problem is, those 25.000 thoughts tend to be exactly the same thoughts over and over again.

We develop behavior patterns over time and our lives become very predictable. We sleep on the same side of the bed each night, eat the same breakfast, brush our teeth in the same direction, come home and watch the same TV shows, we tend to have the same dinner and talk about the same topics.

We spend the entire work week counting the days until the weekend. Then over the weekend, we go out, drink, socialize and complain about how bad work is. Sunday night we started to get depressed at the thought of going back to work again on Monday. This pattern of behavior repeats itself over and over again. Do you know that there are more heart attacks on Monday mornings at 9am than at any other time of the week?

The sad reality is that 95% of people tend to repeatedly complain about their current situation without trying to do something to change it. They don't realize that they are creating this miserable life by the way they think.

How to start changing our life?

To change our lives we must change our habits and to change our habits we must change our thoughts. New thoughts lead to new feelings that lead to new actions that lead to new results. This goes along the lines of the cognitive psychology.

Thoughts - Feelings -> Actions -> Results

We have to learn to control our thoughts if we want to change our lives. How much time do you spend concentrating on what you don't want in life instead of focusing on what you do want?

Imagine yourself as a human transmission tower that transmits a certain frequency with your thoughts. If you want to change something in your life, change the frequency by changing your thoughts. Use a positive frequency instead of a negative one.

Stop complaining

It is advisable to focus on what we want in life. We have to stop complaining about our current circumstances and accept the fact that we have created everything through our thoughts. We must accept full responsibility for our current reality. We now have the ability to change our lives. To change our current situation we have to change our thoughts and redirect our energy.

If you currently have a lot of debt and continue to receive bills in the mail, the first step in turning the situation around is to stop complaining about your debts. You have to start focusing on wealth and abundance if you want to get out of debt. Study the advice offered in their books by the finance gurus.

In the next few days begin to control your thoughts.

Take note of the number of times you focus on what you don't want. Use your emotions as a guide. If you feel negative emotions then you must be focused on something that you do not want. If you feel positive emotions, continue to focus on those thoughts that generate them.

This takes a bit of practice but is the first step in changing your life.
