Many of us think that successful people do strange rituals to achieve success.

The truth is that they continue simple routines. They wake up and stick to a game plan. They find freedom in their routine, whereas the average person sees the routine as a jail.

Here are 6 routines and daily rituals of some very successful people:

1) Maya Angelou (writer).

Maya Angelou got up around 5:30 and had a cup of coffee with her husband. He could only do his job in a hotel or motel room. He always carried a dictionary, a bottle of sherry, and a bible with him.

When she got home, she showered, made dinner, and waited for her husband to come home.

After dinner she would read what she had written to her husband.

2) Benjamin Franklin (inventor).

Benjamin Franklin had a strict schedule. He made room for everything that was important to him.

His famous question for each day was, What good will I do today?

He woke up, washed, had breakfast and then worked from 8 to 12.

3) Jack Dorsey (CEO of Square and founder of Twitter).

This guy is a machine. The only way to work at both companies is to be very disciplined.

To cope with the distractions of the week created a weekly schedule.

That's when he would take a little break and took a little walk. He took a pencil and paper with him in case inspiration came to him.

I visited the taverns in the afternoon and He went out to see plays or to meet friends.

He rarely composed at night. He went to bed by 10 pm at the latest.

6) Barack Obama (President of the United States).

He starts his day at 6:45 in the morning with an exercise session and then have breakfast with your family. He starts his work day at 9 a.m. in the morning. His day ends at 6pm.

Obama dines with his wife and daughters. Of course you have a lot of routines during the day, but they are top secret.

7) Evan Williams (Twitter and Blogger).

Do you think Evan Williams, the founder of Blogger and Twitter, is a machine that works all day? You're wrong.

Evan Williams reserves a slot every day to go to the gym in the afternoon. He found that he was most productive in the morning and left the toughest and most important tasks for this part of the day.
